As my headlights played across the small feeder creek of the Copahee Sound, near Charleston South Carolina, I saw small schools of mullet and shrimp dancing along the waters surface. So this was "Redfishville". I knew it was gonna be a good day.

The 5:30 AM door knock seemed strangely appropriate the following morning. Instead of bonefish, we hunted peacock bass that day, continuously scanning the crystalline water for the telltale dark shape of our quarry. After spotting and landing several acceptable fish, George finally struck gold. There were actually two brutes prowling the shallows in search of sustenance.
