  • Sunday,8/26: Yesterday we had a handful of boats go out. Everybody scored on WAHOO, with tuna being sighted but not biting.(Tuesday, 8.21) The FRENZY 58 took a charter out today and came home with a 54.6# and 52.3# YELLOWFIN TUNA! They also caught two smaller TUNA, a nice DOLPHIN and lost a big TUNA. Once again, the fish were caught south of the Georgetown Hole.YELLOWFINS IN AUGUST! The PAINKILLER came in today with three YELLOWFINS and two WAHOO! One YELLOWFIN was in the 40# range.The CHRISTYII also scored YELLOWFIN with one in the 50# range. They also caught a SAILFISH and some peanut DOLPHIN south of the Georgetown Hole.

  • 40TH ANNUAL GEORGETOWN BLUE MARLIN TOURNAMENT RESULTS: 1st Place "Big Game" for 2-blue marlin releases, $10,000; 2nd Place "Syked Out" for 1-blue marlin release, $5,000; 3rd Place "Hat Trick" for 1-blue marlin release, $4,000. !st Place Female Angler was Kim Kunze with a 40.9lb. Dolphin; 2nd Place was Kim Rodenberg with a 40.1 lb. Dolphin; 3rd Place was Heather Phipps with a 29.3 lb. Dolphin. !st Place Youth Angler was Jacob Henderson with a Wahoo & Dolphin; 2nd Place was Matt King with a 33.1 lb. Dolphin; and 3rd Place was Thomas Garmany with a 23.8 Dolphin. The Release Award went to Big Game for their two blues. Largest Tuna was 50.5 lbs. on the Due Course and worth $15,200; Largest Dolphin Miss Wy IV worth $15,500; and the largest Wahoo onboard the Y-Knot bringing $15,800. The Aggregate was won by Due Course with 105.8 points and worth $11,700. Release Calcutta was won by Big Game and was worth $37,000; 2nd in the Release was Syked Out and worth $14,000.

Approach: Located south of Hwy 17 Bridge on the Black & Pee Dee Rivers, just above the Coast Guard Station Georgetown. If approaching from the North on the Waccamaw River, be sure to continue south to the red/green marker "W" to avoid the sandbar that juts out from Waccamaw Point. Please call marina for instructions.
